The Malta Racing Club Council together with the Horse Owners’ and Drivers’ Representatives are pleased to announce that the driver chosen for the month of September is Noel Baldacchino.  This choice was made after consultation with those journalists that are present at the racetrack during horse racing meetings. 

During September, Baldacchino drove 22 races winning 5 and placing in 6 others.  His best day was during the 35th meeting on Friday 20th September when he won 3 races. 

Currently Noel Baldacchino is heading the champion driver classification having already won 35 races.  Since the year 2000, Baldacchino has won the champion driver title 7 times including during the last three consecutive years.  Last year he had been nominated driver of the month during February. 

The presentation will be held during next Sunday’s racing programme and apart from a commemorative plaque, he will also be presented with a small gift by P & M Farrugia who are importers of everything related to horse racing.
