During the next racing meeting on Sunday afternoon at the Marsa Race Track we will see the start of a new championship sponsored by Krafft and which is open to Silver Category horses.

This is not the first time that this renowned horse food supplier has sponsored local races and in fact in 2004 they had sponsored one of the Malta/Sweden Encounter races. In 2008 two Krafft championships had been held for Premier/Gold category and Silver/Bronze category and these were open to horses that were neither French nor Swedish. In 2011 they had also sponsored several normal races open to different categories.

For this year’s championship 91 horses enlisted of which three will be making their first local start. These 91 horses have been divided into 8 heats which will be raced on Sunday 29th and Tuesday 31st March and from which the first four will qualify for the three semi finals to be raced on the 12th April. The final with 12 horses will be held on Sunday 26th April and for which the total prize money will be €1200.

The first race in these next two programmes will start at 13:45.
