During this week, Minister Evarist Bartolo and Parliamentary Secretary Clifton Grima on behalf of the Government announced the new Malta Racing Club Council that will be administering during 2018.

The new Council met for the first time earlier today and is composed of 5 persons whilst in the coming weeks they will also be joined by the horse owners and drivers representatives.

Edwin Borg has been reconfirmed as Chairman.

Thomas Cunningham has been appointed General Secretary and Anthony Mifsud is the Financial Secretary.

George Farrugia has been reconfirmed as member and Joe Zerafa has also been reappointed as member.  These two members will be responsible from the main and old racetracks as well as general maintenance of the premises.
