Clint Vassallo in Prix de Rencontres

Earlier today, Clint Vassallo left for Paris in order to participate in the 10th edition of the Prix de Rencontres Internationales du Trotteur Francais organised by le Trot at Vincennes. This will be raced Saturday afternoon and apart from Malta and France thirteen other countries will be participating. The race is over 2100m with autostart and the participating horses are being auctioned for €22,000.

Vassallo has drawn number 4 Viking Dream a 9 year old horse that has not won a race since March 2016.

Last year Clint Vassallo finished in 5th place in the best driver classification and this year he is occupying the same position although he has already won more races.

For the same occasion on Friday evening a special presentation is held to honour the best French trotters of 2017 in their respective countries. French trotters are currently in 30 different countries around the world and the owners from 23 of these will be present for this celebration. Amongst these also the owners of Service Secret who finished the best French trotter in Malta with 9 victories. Andre Farrugia and Clive Agius will be receiving this award.

The Chairman of the Malta Racing Club Edwin Borg is also with the Maltese contingent in France.
