MHRu Championship 4th Leg

After the success of Noel Baldacchino, Clint Vassallo and Paul Galea in this year’s edition of the Mediterranean Championship, Charles Camilleri will be taking part in the 4th leg at the race track of Cagnes-sur-Mer France on Friday evening. The countries that will be disputing this 4th leg are France, Italy, Romania, Russia, Serbia and Malta but in this race there will be other drivers not taking part in the championship. Camilleri has drawn mare number 11 Anna du Perre and this race which is 2700m long will take off at 8:30 pm.

This is not the first time that Camilleri will be participating in this championship where he has won the 2017 leg held at the same racetrack as well as the leg held in the Moscow Hippodrome last year.

Winner of nearly 750 races, Charles Camilleri has also been crowned Malta’s champion driver 5 times.

Malta is currently heading the Mediterranean Championship classification with 34 points followed by France with 29 points.

Accompanying Charles Camilleri is the Malta Racing Club’s Chairman Edwin Borg who will also be attending the Mediterranean Horse Racing Union Council on Saturday morning.
