WHAT THE SUNDAY PAPERS SAY...

The two local Sunday Papers "Il-mument" and "It-Torca" both have extensive coverage of Friday's race meeting, which kick off this year's SECF Championship reserved for French born trotters.

Kenneth Vella writes "The SECF Championship continues on "Il-mument", he also gives his forecasts to today's racing, which includes 3 Premier Heats for the main trotting class in Malta. He also writes on the same page "First Semi-Finalists confirmed". Here "Il-mument" covers Friday's 11 Race programme with all the details in each race. On Sunday, "Il-mument" is the main newspaper for all horseracing enthusiasts. Kenneth Vella also covers the 62nd Edition of the famous "Lotteria d'Agnano" won by LIBECCIO GRIF last Sunday in Naples, and the 173rd edition of the "Kentucky Derby" won by ANIMAL KINGDON, at Churchill Downs in the USA.

"It-Torca", Sacrobate writes about today's racing at the Marsa Race Track and also gives his expected winners. One can also find the results list of Friday's late evening meeting.

On a separate note the newspaper "Illum" has a double page interview with Clint Vassallo, a young driver in Malta. Mark Attard, titles his article, "When you dedicate your life to Horse Racing". Clint Vassallo, a young driver expresses his opinion on local racing, how he has developed his love for horse racing, and what he thinks about the Club today and horse racing in general both in Malta and overseas. Very nice to read.
