BOV Tazza l-Kbira

The biggest competition for local horse racing takes off on Sunday as Malta’s top category horses compete in the heats of the BOV Tazza l-Kbira.

Nearly six months later than usual due to the Covid19 pandemic certainly did not diminish any of the horse owners’ enthusiasm as a record number of Premier Category horses will be competing in 7 heats to try and qualify for the ensuing semi finals. This is also thanks to the continuing support of Bank of Valletta who will still be sustaining this competition financially even though it will be held behind closed doors meaning without any spectators.

81 horses including 14 new ones will start in 7 heats from which 28 will be qualifying for the semi finals which will be held on 27th September with the final of 12 horses scheduled for Sunday 11th October.

The general public can follow these races live on the Malta Racing Club’s Facebook page as well as the YouTube Channel. First race starts at 6:00 pm.
