This year the Krafft Championship returned once again for the Silver category but this time round it was based on three stages unlike the usual four stage championship.

Ninety four horses participated in nine heats on Friday 8th October from which thirty six went on to race in the three semi finals on Friday 22nd October. Due to a dead heat for fourth place in one of the semi finals, the final was going to be disputed with thirteen horses but unfortunately one of the horses is unable to participate so it will be just twelve behind the autostart on Friday 5th November.

As is customary, the draws were done in the presence of the owners with local Krafft representative Mr Shaun Pete Azzopardi and the Chairman of the Malta Racing Club/EquestriMalta Judge Emeritus Antonio Mizzi doing the honours.

Exceptional timings for this category were registered during the semi finals last Friday which has everyone looking forward to the final which is promising to be a very high level one.
