On Friday 1st May a racing programme is scheduled during which one of the featured races is the San Franġisk Cup Final for Copper category horses.

The first edition of this race was held last year upon the initiative taken by Fr.Mario Attard OFM Cap and the final was raced on 11th May. This was won by Ocean Gede driven by Mario Fenech after the result was altered due to a positive doping test.

In all 37 horses participated in four heats on Friday 17th April and from which 12 horses qualified for the final, but next Friday only 11 horses will be behind the autostart after one of the winners, Silvio Baldwin, was forfeited prior to the draws.

The race has a distance of 2140m and starts at 4:05 pm. The total prize money is €640.
